While walking a couple of our dogs Monday night, we passed a house with insufficient fencing and the resident pit bull jumped out and grabbed our 5 pound Chihuahua. Thankfully people that knew the dog ran to help and we got Loca out of his mouth. However, she has three broken ribs, several severe tears and punctures in her chest and back and is feeling pretty awful in general. We brought her home from the hospital last night. She is on Tramadol and Clavamox - not my favorites but she needs the pain meds.

Saturday she can have her drainage tubes removed and several days later, they will remove her stitches.

What supplement support is recommended for help with her ribs healing? I have traumeel that I can apply topically once her wounds have closed but what else?

We are going to add Boswellia to her food next week to wean her off the pain meds. What else might help her?

We are blessed that she survived this attack and that her attitude is still as sweet and loving as ever. We want to do our best to get her to 100%.
