Holistic Pet Care

Finnigan has always been a scratchy dog(golden retriever 8 years old), she has had a rash on her belly for several months. I had to resort to taking her to the Vet in Nov, as the rash errupted into nasty hotspotty things, she was on antibiotics, which cleared it up. Now she is on Loratadine tablets once a day, they seem to help with the itch. I would like to get her off meds as I don't want her on them forever.I have just changed her diet from chicken and turkey(MDF) to strickly beef(grocery store)plus kelp, omega's and bone meal, in hopes that it might be an allergy to poultry. How long before I see relief? Any thoughts? We are in Kitchener ON, it is more humit here than Sask or Manitoba where we used to live. Could that be part of the problem?
