[HolisticPet2] Re: Raw Feeding - Donna

I live near Berryville, Ark - NW corner of the state. I've wanted to
do a real rescue for years. I have enough land to support a lot of
horses but I don't have the facilities for more than 4. I'd also then
lose the income from renting the pasture to a cattle man. Part of his
lease is to supply me with hay, so I don't have that expense. I'm
kind of stuck with the way things are. I don't agree with the way the
pasture is managed. He grudgingly copes with my 'no chemicals'
stance. If he would manage it differently, he'd have a lot more grass
but the 'new' generation of ranchers has been brainwashed as badly as
the pet people who won't get out of the box.

Chuckle - Yeah, I spend a lot of time out flitting about and spending
money on myself. I rarely leave the farm. When I HAVE to go somewhere
it is major trauma because I haven't bought any clothes in years. I'm
not poverty stricken but I can't justify the price of clothes when I
don't go anywhere. People give me stuff and I don't care if it fits
or not. Barbed wire fences are very hard on clothes - so is most of
the other stuff I do. My animals are my indulgence and they are all
rescues.

P.S. I hope you get to buy land and have a real rescue. As many as
there are, there aren't enough. The shelter here is awful.
