Re: [HolisticPet] Using Healthwise, Whats Better...........
grains, or grain based, starch based like potatoes, heavy sugar like
carrots and sweet potatoes or fruits. If you do use a premade food
read the label like a hawk and don't be afraid to write or call the
manufacturer and ask questions. Personally I am a bit cynical about
most commercially made foods no matter how pristine they claim to be.
By the way when my beloved Peke was dying in late 07 I was feeding
him commercially made bribe foods. I knew which way he was going and
was just trying to keep him comfortable and get some food in him
without forcing him. At the same time I started feeding the cat
commercial foods. High quality they say but still a can or a sack.
Anyway she got a cyst on her side. I was pretty sure I knew what it
was but when it changed size and texture I had the vet aspirate it.
He emptied it. It was oil as we suspected. It came back. I left it
alone. After I got the puppy I fed him kibble for a while. I was
dissatisfied so I started him on raw. I put the cat back on raw. She
is almost 18 and gorgeous. Anyway -- surprise, surprise -- the cyst
is getting smaller and also shriveling.
