RE: [HolisticPet] Joan

Hi Joan, how are things going with your crew? I have to get back on the
list because I feel like I am missing part of my family. I think about
you guys all the time. Yahoo lost all my contacts and emails. It was
crazy because no one would help me. I have finally realized I just have
to move on which means rejoining my yahoogroups. Did you guys have lots
of snow this winter? We just put in solar panels to heat our pool.
Winston needs to exercise in the pool but the physical therapist I am
taking him to told m the temperature should be 80 so we have been going
weekly to see the physical therapist. I am amazed at what rimadyl with
physical therapy can do. Winston could not even get up and down and now
he is running around playing ball. Pattie and the "Cocker Crew"

You and Don do such a wonderful job with the bitters that are fearful
and
distrustful. Your right- this why we do what we do.

Subject: [HolisticPet] Why we do what we do

Recently Don and I took in a cocker that had lived on a lady's front
porch all his life, he is 10. Buddy Boy came into rescue but bit his
foster right away. We received the call saying if we could not take him
he would be put down. Don throws me the car keys and said go pick him
up. You could not touch him, he trusted no one. The neighborhood kids
had teased and hurt him. He had cigarette burns on his body. When we
took him to the vet he has a heart murmur grade 4. One of my friends
asked why are you incurring expenses on an old dog and you are letting
him take up space while other dogs have no where to go. Last week I
called this friend and I told her this is why we do what we do.

Buddy Boy is now playing with us and the other dogs. He goes around
with a smile on his face and he is happy. He likes his family. Buddy
Boy wants to be petted. He still is not sure about ear cleaning and eye
treatments, but that will come. He is now getting to know what love
feels like and to feel a part of a family. It is not his fault that he
had a bad owner who allowed him to be tortured. When you see them
change you know that you are doing what you are meant to do. Pattie and
