RE: [HolisticPet2] Animals and sickness
Denise,
Yes, I agree it can take generations of a healthy lifestyle before "we" see healthy dogs.
The other side of that is, breeders who are trying that method have in their contracts that they require buyers to continue with a raw diet. But I also know that many buyers don't/won't/can't do that after purchasing a puppy or kitten.

Subject: [HolisticPet2] Animals and sickness
Hi Marilyn,
Thanks so much for addressing my fears/burnout/
I agree that some seem to feed what other's feel is garbage food and they live to 14 years old with no problems. I really think some illnesses are just going to happen because it takes so much pureness eating/vaccinations
I do think the more optimal diet (raw) the better chance an animal has but I hear ya when you say you have had and have sick ones too! You must feel a little nudge in this direction since you are still going to feed this way. But like you say, *The are no guarantees*!
Thanks again for the sympathy and encouragement! It does help!
Blessings,
Denise

Denise,
Ok, here's my opinion regarding your fears ~~
we do the best we know how for our pets throughout their lives, and sometimes we tend to go overboard, trying to keep them well. But when they're sick, we try everything "out there" to heal them, making "overboard" look trivial to what we do next.
